2- Hydrosphere (Liquid Matter)

3- Atmosphere (Gaseous Matter)

Q. Define Atmosphere. Explain it's layers.

Answer: Atmosphere may be defined as transparent gaseous envelop surrounding the earth.

Layers of atmosphere are:

1.Troposphere: It extends from surface of earth upto a  height of 8 to 10 km. In this layer, the percentage concentration of different gases in air does not vary with an increase in height.

2. Stratosphere: This layer is above the troposphere and free from clouds and aeroplanes usually fly in lower zone.

3. Exosphere: It lies beyond 400km. The air density is very low in this layer and temperature increases at this layer.
